The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has just recently announced the release of the results of the just concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
This announcement was published and signed on Saturday by the head of public relations and protocols unit, Fabian Benjamin. According to the press release, the results has not yet been uploaded on the JAMB website but can only be gotten by testing “UTMERESULT” to 55019.
Candidates are to also note that only the phone numbers used in getting profile codes during the registration exercise can be used in checking of results.
In addition, candidates are forewarned concerning messages from fraudsters regarding checking of UTME results through any other means other than as mentioned above and are encouraged to ignore such deceitful messages.
JAMB also added that this newly emplaced user friendly and simplified method of result checking is inline with the government’s ease of doing business protocol. Furthermore, it would help discourage the unnecessary exploitation of candidates by cybercafés and business centres.
JAMB also announced that the exam this year was taken by more than 1.7 million candidates including 383 blind candidates across 750 CBT centres nationwide.
