Rivers State University (RSU) has officially announced that classes for the 2025/2026 academic session will kick off on Monday, November 3, 2025.
According to a memo from the Office of the Registrar, hostels will open a day earlier — Sunday, November 2 — so students can sign in and settle down before lectures begin. The university is reminding everyone to pay their school fees and accommodation fees early to avoid losing their bed spaces.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Isaac Zeb-Obipi, also inaugurated the Hall Wardens on October 24, charging them to keep the hostels disciplined and well-organized. He stressed that students should steer clear of selling or transferring bed spaces, warning that anyone caught will face disciplinary action.
As the campus gears up for a new academic year, students are encouraged to follow all resumption guidelines to ensure a smooth and stress-free start.
