The management of Rivers State University (RSU), Nkpolu-Oroworukwu, Port Harcourt, has declared Friday, December 5, 2025, as a lecture-free day.
This was contained in an internal memorandum issued by the Office of the Registrar and addressed to all principal officers, provosts, deans, directors, heads of departments, staff, and students of the university.
According to the memo, the lecture-free day is to enable members of the university community to fully participate in the 32nd and 38th Combined Convocation Ceremonies of the institution.
The university further stated that normal academic activities will resume on Monday, December 8, 2025.
Students and staff are therefore advised to take note of the announcement and make necessary arrangements regarding lectures and other academic engagements.
The memo was signed by the Registrar, Mrs. I. B. S. Harry, on behalf of the university management.
