The Rivers State University (RSU), Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, has announced the date for its 44th Matriculation Ceremony for newly admitted students of the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to an official press release from the Office of the Registrar, the matriculation ceremony will hold on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, by 9:00am at the University Convocation Arena.
The ceremony formally admits fresh students into the university community and marks the beginning of their academic journey as bona fide RSU undergraduates.
In preparation for the event, all duly registered fresh students are required to collect their academic gowns from their respective Faculty Officers on Friday, January 23, 2026. Students are expected to present evidence of payment of their acceptance fee and other approved charges, along with two current passport photographs.
Additionally, students must come along with a copy of their online admission letter, as well as provide their residential address and phone number during the gown collection process.
The university management advised all fresh students to take note of the information and comply strictly with the guidelines to ensure a smooth and orderly matriculation exercise.

Fresh students are encouraged to arrive early on the day of the ceremony and adhere to all instructions as issued by university authorities.
